If you don’t have an Apple Watch, you can connect an external Bluetooth heart rate monitor (HRM) to your iPhone or iPad. To connect your heart rate monitor, put it on as if you were starting a workout and follow the instructions below.
On iPhone / iPad
- Open the “MotiFIT”
- Tap on the “MORE” tab.
- Tap on “HEART RATE MONITOR” under “SENSORS”.
The app will look for your heart rate monitor. Once it finds your HRM, it will display some of its details on the screen. To pair it, simply tap on it and you’re good to go.
NOTE: A Bluetooth heart rate monitor can only be paired to one host device. If the app is having trouble detecting your HRM, it might be automatically connecting to another device (Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, etc.). Turning OFF Bluetooth on all other nearby devices might be helpful.
Please note that for a more precise heart rate monitoring, connect a heart rate monitor directly to Apple Watch. To do so, please follow the procedure below.
On Apple Watch:
- Open the “Settings”
- Tap on "BLUETOOTH".
- Tap on the device you want to pair.
