What is beta testing?
Beta testing is the process of validating new features and changes to the app before those changes are released to the entire user base. Beta testers get early access to updates and new features and bug fixes. Because beta testers get early access to changes made to the app we depend on feedback from our beta testers in order to ensure that those changes are bug-free and ready for our general release of that version.
Installing the beta version on Apple Watch
Please note that if you have installed the beta version of the FITIV app you may need to enable the app's display on the Apple Watch. To allow the app to display on the Apple Watch please open the TestFlight app, select the FITIV beta version that you are testing and scroll down to see the option to SHOW APP ON APPLE WATCH. This setting needs to be enabled in order to ensure that the app displays correctly on the device.
Beta versions can not be installed via the normal Apple Watch app.
Purchasing a subscription
Purchases made within the beta version of the app and are for testing purchases only. These purchases will not be charged to your iTunes account, but will expire at an accelerated rate. If you are currently a beta tester but would like to purchase a subscription to FITIV please install the app store version of the FITIV app in order to purchase your subscription. Afterwards, you can re-download the latest beta version available through the TestFlight app.
How to give feedback
We rely on the feedback from our beta testers to help us diagnose and fix bugs, give suggestions for new features, and keep us informed about general app performance. Please don't hesitate to let us know your thoughts about updates and features in the beta versions of the app. The best ways to bring your feedback to our attention are to:
- Join the beta testing Facebook group and post information about your thoughts
- Send feedback through the TestFlight app
- Send us an email directly to email@example.com with as many details about what you're experiencing, your account information, and screenshots if possible
